I've been neglectful and not posted anything for a while.

What's happened since my last message? Nothing really exciting, the lump on my son's hand disappeared the next day and the bruise on his thumb is completely gone. He has been back playing soccer after having a week off. Their last game for the season was on Saturday, they won 12/nil. A fantastic result but they missed out on getting into the finals by only 2 points.

I have been sewing, got my swap item finished and all ready for posting. Will post pictures after the swap is completed. I also finished a lap quilt that has been languishing unfinished in a cupboard for well over a year or is it 2? I had started on the quilting when realised I had left off the last border. I did have plenty of the fabric left but used it as the backing, I wasn't looking forward to unpicking my hard work so just left it. The fabric had long since sold out. On a trip to Melbourne last year I spotted a bolt of it at market and bought enough to finally finish it.

The above has been sitting as a draft for a while, here's what else has been going on.
Went to a yard sale on the weekend, as soon as I walked in I spotted something I've been after for ages, a reel lawn mower. Got it for $2, it's a little rusty, a sand back and new paint will fix that and the handle a little wonky, just needs new bolts. It probably needs sharpening too, but it seems to cut well. Thomas loves using it, I used it for a while on Saturday and paid for it on Sunday, my shoulders and upper arms ached so much. But I love it and love the fact that my grass is being cut without the need for petrol so is lessening my carbon footprint. It wasn't all I bought, I paid $8 each for a vintage foldup picnic table and a still in it's packet mini ironing board. Bought the board for my mother, she mentioned that she was looking for one.

An action shot, yes it is being dragged backwards, for a while it was the only way we could get it to mow.
