Another reason why you should always tie your shoes

We all know about tripping on an untied shoe lace but did you know that one can leave you trapped.

The kids and I decided to buy Chinese takeout for dinner tonight so we headed to the car, Thomas shut and locked the door behind him while I started the car. I wondered why he wasn't moving from the door, he was standing there looking at me strangely. He lifted his foot to show me that his shoe lace was trapped in the door, he tugged and tugged while I sat in the car howling with laughter. I had to hand his sister the house keys so she could rescue him.

He tried telling me it wasn't funny but he was laughing himself. He decided it was lucky it happened then and not when he was leaving for school. He would have been trapped most of the day - he'd have Buckley's of his sister hearing the doorbell any time before 12.
