Gainfully employed.

I started a casual job on Thursday, I'm hemming and repairing curtains at my husband's work. Originally it was supposed to be done at home but I found it too distracting and asked if I could do it onsite. They were happy with that and it means minimum time down for the curtains, it's an aged care facility so the curtains are a necessary part. I worked all day Thursday, Friday and today (Monday), it's a 7am start which means I am up at 5am to get ready to be picked up before 6am. First day was murder seeing as I had an hour and half nap on Wednesday arvo and then literally didn't sleep a wink all night. Tried everything from meditation, lavender and even a bath at 3 am, nothing worked. I had to have a couple of coffees during the day, first I've had in close to years but I made it through the day and didn't even fall asleep on the trip home. Slept very well that night, purposely set my alarm for 4am to tape a tv show and then didn't bother going back to bed, actually wasn't that hard to get up. I have tomorrow and Wednesday off. I don't know how many hours I'll be getting, there's only a couple of days work left with the curtains I am working on now at least it's a little bit of money right when we need it. The only downside has been that I have not been inclined to pull the machine out after sewing all day and my welcome embroidery is waiting to be sewn into a cushion.
My husband has been on 4 weeks holiday from work at the moment, he goes back next week, the ladies at work think it's funny that he takes time off and sends me to work.
