Shameless Plug

Recently my brother was a victim of the economic downturn, he lost his job (was the last one in so was the first to go). It's a hard fact of life unfortunately, one that he has taken admirably.

A year or 2 ago he started his own photography business, that he was hoping to one day be his full time job, hadn't planned on it happening so quickly. I thought I'd try to give him a boost, his business is in Pet Photography, his company is called Puparazzi. The business is based in Sydney, but they might consider traveling further afield (I can't make any promises, it's not my place).

I thought I'd share one his photos, a picture of my gorgeous hairy niece, he has many samples of his work on his website, please take a look.

Scary

I just sat down at the computer and noticed a pile of printed papers that were paperclipped together, it was a printout of my blog. Rang David to ask if he had printed it out but he said it had been there for ages and that he thought I had. I don't know why I am so rattled, I've never been able to share my blog with my family, it feels like my diary has been read. Why am I so comfortable letting strangers read it when I feel uncomfortable sharing it with my family? I really have to get over this fear and share it with them. It's not like I've been badmouthing them or planning my escape from mundane family life, it may give them better insight as how I see myself. It's still pretty scary, but not as scary as the next thing I have to share.

Edit, my daughter is reading the printout right now. I told her she could if she wanted but that it was like she was reading my personal diary. Hmmm, she said "one that you put on the internet for anyone to see? LOL It's a step in the right direction.

Last night my brother shared some bad news with us, one of his friends flipped their car after losing control. His wife and daughter got out without a scratch but he wasn't so lucky, suffering neck and head injuries. Please pray for his recovery, his name is John. He wasn't speeding and after coming around a bend noticed the steering was wrong so he tried correcting, the car then went up an embankment hitting a rock which caused it flip. Losing a wheel in the process before it flipped, the steering mechanism was still attached to the wheel. It came to rest on the opposite side of the road against the guard rail that prevented it going down the side of the mountain.

The car had just had it's gearbox replaced the day before and the thought is that the mechanics may have not reattached something properly.
