Employed again.

Tomorrow I start a new job, well sort of it's an old job, I asked at my old workplace if there were any openings and was offered a day a week until other days come up. My actual start day is Wednesday but I got a call this afternoon asking if I would be available to work at another store tomorrow. It's only 10 minutes drive from home and is in the premisis that I once worked at when I worked for the opposition. My old workplace is around 30 minutes drive, so I am hoping that helping out at the closer place might get me some extra work there.

I am confident I am going back to better conditions than when I last worked at this place, had one of the worst managers I have worked with there. Under her management the place was run down and a complete mess. Myself and another supervisor would take on a lot of what was neglected until the other supervisor had quite enough and gave 2 weeks notice. I was supposed to be trained on certain aspects of the other girl's job but the manager wouldn't allow it until her very last day. It wasn't too long before I too had enough, had vacation time booked and found a job which meant I didn't have to go back. The company gave her so many chances and not very long afterwards she was asked to resign. Which is why I am quite happy to go back. The new store manager has made so many changes, one of which is that he lets staff do their jobs properly.
